10 Things On My Wishlist: Edition 1

Thanks to the digital age and social media, I’m always coming across something that I want to add to my wishlist to buy in the future. Most of the time, I never get round to purchasing the items on my list because I’m quite picky on what I spend my money on. And unlike Carrie Bradshaw, I do like to see my money sitting pretty in my bank account. Thank you very much. Having said that, I do like to indulge once in a while because I’m human and a sucker for pretty packaging.

Chanel long-lasting eyeliner in noir intense. I’ve used this before so I know it’s good. I’ve purchased quite a few eyeliners in the past and I always come back to 2 brands: Chanel and Marc Jacobs. I’ve had my current Marc Jacobs liner for 2 years now so I think it’s time to let it go.

Fenty Beauty gloss cream in fenty glow. There’s a high chance I’ll be purchasing this in February as I’m almost done with my Fenty Beauty gloss bomb lip gloss which I love. I’ve purchased this twice now and I’d love to give the cream version a try

Natasha Denona bronze eyeshadow palette. I’ve had my eyes on the Natasha Denona palettes for over a year now and I think 2021 is the year I take the plunge and invest in one. I always limit myself to 2 eyeshadow palettes each year. I didn’t buy any last year as I wasn’t really wearing makeup. The palette I currently have is from Juvia’s Place and I believe it’ll be 2 years at the end of February.

NARS velvet matte lip pencil in mysterious red. I’ve always been drawn to the matte red lip colour that Monroe Steele wears and when she mentioned that it was from NARS, I knew it had to be on my wishlist.

Laura Mercier translucent setting powder in medium deep. Hailed the holy grail of setting powders in the beauty community, I’m yet to give this one a try because I’ve been team moisturiser and sunscreen for the last two years. I’m leaning towards the travel size version.

The Body Shop grapefruit body butter. My go-to body butter from the body shop is the shea or cocoa butter version. I’ve heard some good things about the light fragrance of the grapefruit version and its softening effect on the skin. I’m tempted to give this a go as we get towards the end of the Aussie summer.

Burberry Her Intense eau de parfum. Let’s get one thing clear…I won’t be purchasing the Baccarat Rouge 540 perfume anytime soon. So I’m on the hunt for a perfume that’s close in scent and this one apparently comes close. I’ve tried the cloud perfume by Ariana Grande (another mentioned dupe) and I’m not sure it’s something I’d gladly repurchase.

Caudalie vinopure clear skin purifying toner. My hunt for the perfect toner continues. Whenever I use a toner on my skin around my nose and chin area, it sets my skin on fire and becomes quite uncomfortable for a few days. I’m still trying to figure out if there’s a particular ingredient I’m reacting to. In the meantime, the hunt continues. I’ve heard some good things about this one from people with sensitive skin.

Sunday Riley CEO glow. Okay, the name got me on this one. CEO glow? I definitely want to tap into that. On a more serious note, my skin does really well when I use a vitamin C serum or oil. My favourite vitamin C serum to date is from Korres and I’m on the lookout for an oil.

Klairs soft airy UV essence SPF50. Anyone who knows me would tell you that sunscreen is a huge part of my skincare routine. When I moved to Sydney from the UK, I upped my SPF from SPF15 to SPF30 at the minimum. I’ve been using the Mecca Cosmetica sunscreen for the last few years but I’m keen to give the Klairs one a try as I’ve tried other items from their skincare line and loved it.

Over to you. What’s on your wishlist? Is there anything on my list you’re interested in? I’d love to hear what you’re eyeing in the comments.
